Trying New Things

Trying new things is a good thing to do, and something I'm striving to do even more...and right now I seem to be on a "Trying Out Vintage Hairstyles" train. :)

#1. I went to a friends Birthday party last weekend and it was a 1920s Murder Mystery ("A Little Party Never Killed Nobody"), so I googled some '20s style up do's and actually did one! It also happens that I tried false eye lashes for the first time as well. I think I did a pretty good job and my friends thought it looked great. :)

2. The day after my friends party I went to a cousin's fiancèe's bridal shower and tried a second 1920's do...unfortunately I didn't take a pic from the back, but it's a roll of sorts, that goes around the bottom of the headband so all you see is my hair. It got nice compliments. :)

3. Today (5/29/15), and for no other reason than I wanted to give it a go...I tried out a 1950s "Pin Up" Style Up Do ... my co-workers loved it!

4. And today (5/30/15), a '40s/50s role...

Good People Do Exist

In this too often, really very negative media driven society, good people doing good things - sometimes - make the news! And this guy rocks!

H.S. Track-n-Field Record Holder

Yo, how crazy is it that I still hold a record on my High School Track and Field Record Board?! 1500 meter run baby!!! Though, somehow they managed to put down the wrong year for me ... I graduated in 1997 not '98.

But I digress...pretty cool to hold that record still!

Also, go ahead, try and say the name on the top ... I dare you ... I double dog dare you ... and also, I don't know how to say it (at least not the last name)!

GREEN!

Green. Green. GREEN! Finally there is green all around!!! Spring...or perhaps it went straight to Summer (80+ degrees on May 11th...le sigh), but it's really the greenness I'm interested in boasting about! It's kind of crazy how quickly it goes from barren trees to a few buds here and there and then, in the blink of an eye BOOM, greenery all over the place!!! I've even got it inside me abode. YAS!!! :) 

5-year old Macey knows more about the Presidents than I do!

This kiddo is hilarious, wicked smart, and super lucky to have met Ellen! :o) She also, most definitely, knows more about the Presidents of the United States than I do! I'd totes vote for her!
