Every Year...

There are a few days, every single year, that are a little bit difficult. I know that everyone has their own days that are difficult ... but for me, a few stand out ... Valentine's Day and Mother's Day being two of the "hardest" for me. It's terribly hard to accept that love and children are so far from my reach. Two things that were the biggest part of my "play" as a child. 

I have always seen myself as a wife and mother, and being neither is gut wrenchingly difficult to swallow.

The Art of Drawing

So I've always thought I was rather shite when it came to being artistic with a pencil ... however, I have been challenging myself over the past year and a half to draw (among other things), and you know what - I'm not horrible!

I am way way waaaaaaaayyyyy more talented when I'm looking at something and recreating it through my eyes, than when I try to draw something from memory - and I'm OK with that!

I'm thoroughly enjoying this adventure ... we'll see 'how good I get' ... ! :)
