Tootin' Me Own Horn

Sometimes you've gotta toot your own horn. Check out this awesome review for my show AN ILIAD at theREP. Also, get your tickets to see it!

http://www.saratogian.com/arts-and-entertainment/20170316/review-an-iliad-at-capital-rep-exhilarating-and-exhausting

Not only does the review make me smile, sometimes it really is nice for someone who doesn't know you, to praise you...but I believe that this material is supremely relevant.

Perhaps folks will leave the theatre thinking "what can I do" to affect positive change in the world.

Take a step, be the change friends, be the change...even a small step is a step in the right direction!

miSci Butterfly Exhibit

Took my Little to miSci yesterday. It's a really cute little science museum with lots of hands on things for kids to do - which is really good for my little, her 8 year old attention span is super SHORT! Haha. The butterfly exhibit was fun, though she was a tad scared of it. So many Monarchs ... and I super loved that they loaded up shower scrunchies with "nectar" for them. :) So pretty.

The White Helmets

If you're looking for somewhere to make a donation, you know, to help others ... I highly recommend The White Helmets. I made a donation myself, in honor of the folks who've worked with me on my current production - AN ILIAD.

And here's a link for more information if you don't know who they are ...

One Pot Chicken Teriyaki

March's Recipe: One Pot Chicken Teriyaki ... so easy and so good!

Brown the chicken in a few tablespoons of teriyaki sauce.
Add 2 cups rice and 3.5 cups of water.
Add chopped carrots, fresh peas, and chopped scallions.
Add 1/4 cup teriyaki sauce and a few tablespoons of soy sauce.
Bring to a boil.
Reduce to a simmer and cook for approx. 20 minutes.
Add some fresh broccoli.
Cook for a 5-10 more minutes - until broccoli is "done."
Eat.
Enjoy.

Buying a house.

Somedays it's about taking a step in a direction other than the career one...even if the "man of your dreams" ... the "love of your life" ... your "prince charming" ... hasn't arrived.

So.

I'm buying a house.

Bring on the puppies and then the babies.

Of course, before the later of those two things happens ... the bedroom carpet needs to come up and a new floor down; a few new doors (I hope); and DEFINITELY a new stove (among other kitchen upgrades) ... and a painting party!!!

I can't wait to garden. (I'm going to need a lawn mower.)
