December's Craft: Winter Spoons

November's Recipe: Roasted Brussel Sprouts, Butternut Squash & Cranberries

Found this recipe on Pintrest and decided to give it a go for Thanksgiving dinner - SO GOOD!!! It's very easy to make.

HOW TO MAKE IT

Cut Brussel sprouts in half and coat with oil.

Place on a baking sheet and sprinkle with sea salt. 

Bake (at 350) for 40 minutes or so.

After about 20 minutes add the squash to the baking sheet (cut and seed the squash, also peel the rind; cube it and place it in a bowl; add oil and maple syrup - about 1 tbsp of each - and mix; place on baking sheet - bake for 20+ minutes, or until soft)

When finished - place veg in a bowl with a cup of dried cranberries and stir.

EAT.

Puppetry

I've seen the ALUMINUM SHOW twice now, once in Edinburgh and once at Proctors. They used this guy in both shows (and yes, I was permitted to take this photo, they actually say you can at the beginning of their show). He is a giant "aluminum pillow" man puppet. And he's awesome! 

I really wish I was working on a show that had large puppetry involved ... one day, right?!

Beyond Belief.

My anger, sorrow, and frustration over yesterday's election is so real that I've pretty much been numb all day. We're now sitting in territory I've never been in before - but Germany certainly has - truly terrified for this country and what this horror of a human means to the nation, and subsequently the world. A bigoted, racist, sexist, misogynistic, anti-LGBT, anti-refugee, anti-immigrant, WHITE FUCK OF A "MAN", will take the highest office this country has. 

#notmypresident EVER.

 I am in utter disbelief at the rampant hate this country is showing. 

I am fearful of our future. I don't know what to do or say right now...I am SO FUCKING MAD.

Single but deciding to become a mom...

I just keep getting older, while remaining single, and though I desperately want someone to love and to love me, I can "live" without that. What I don't think I can live without, being a mother. So...though I have no idea how I would afford it, I am going to start looking into my options on becoming a parent ...
