It is a thing of fun when one is a kid.
It can be tolerated as a young adult.
It's likely loved by those who ski...
Personally, I didn't mind it when I was in Moscow, I mean, Moscow in February ... yeah.
That first snow fall is always a thing of beauty, dusting the evergreens and sparkling in the sun.
I do love the occasional snow ball fight.
Perhaps a time or two skating on the pond.
And snowmen are always fun to build.
Snow.
More thoughts on snow may come ... I don't love driving in it (or how "stupid" people become once it's fallen).

Haiku a Day - February 2015
Twenty-Eight
The days grow longer.
Outside my window birds sing.
The spring is coming.
Twenty-Seven
Live Long and Prosper.
Go big or go home, some say.
Live with no regrets.
Twenty-Six
Crazy plant lady.
Better than crazy cat gal.
Helping things to grow.
Twenty-Five
The steady rhythm.
The gentle sway, back and forth.
The current of time.
Twenty-Four
On day twenty-four,
Finding things to Haiku on...
Easy, is not fun.
Twenty-Three
Growth is a constant,
Some days are harder than most,
A challenge awaits.
Twenty-Two
When a clump of snow
Disperses on the windshield,
How many flakes fell?
Twenty-One
Fly high in the sky.
Soaring above the Nation.
Symbol of Freedom.
Twenty
Life would be boring,
If perfection existed...
So many colors.
Nineteen
Flames, flames, burning flames.
Breathing, in and out. In. Out.
Let the calm resume.
Eighteen
Sunbeams streaming through,
The sweet scent of lilacs too.
My heart belongs to...
Seventeen
I want a Penguin.
What better pet could there be?
None that I can see!
Sixteen
Realization comes.
Mine he never will become.
Alone is lonely.
Fifteen
Bitter cold New York.
February in the Sun.
Warmer days will come.
Fourteen
Love is all around...
Valentine have I none,
Nor have I ever.
Thirteen
Sparkles from the sun.
Crunchy, fluffy, blowing 'round.
Blue sky. White snow. Cold.
Twelve
Gentle and so sure.
The heart pounding. Palms sweating.
Everything changes.
Eleven
The days grow longer.
Outside my window birds sing.
The spring is coming.
Twenty-Seven
Live Long and Prosper.
Go big or go home, some say.

Eleven
The conversation,
The smiles you illicit,
Yours, I long to be!
Ten
The sweet scent of you.
Intoxicating to me.
Tall, dark, and handsome!
Nine
Flakes falling all'round.
A Georgia Peach in the snow.
I am thirty-six.
Eight
Flakes falling all'round.
A Georgia Peach in the snow.
I am thirty-six.
Eight
Years of 'shared' birthdays,
Fifty-thirty six, you'd be,
Remembered always!
Seven
Crashing on the shore,
Grains and grains beneath my feet,
Serenity is...
Drifting in the air,
Curls and whirls gliding on by,
Offerings of peace.
Five
Sun high in the sky,
Waves crashing upon the shore,
Eastern light fades west.
Four
A Man in the Moon,
Drinking in humanity.
Stars bearing witness.
Three
The scent of Lilacs,
Beams of sunlight drifting in,
Spring, I await you.
Two
Snow falling, footprints.
Follow them to where they stop,
Wonders to be seen.
One
Morning light streaming,
Warm and cosy in my bed,
February child.

Movie Inconsistencies ... ?
Bloopers can be fun to spot - especially if it's in a film you love and therefore have seen a large number of times. Like when Vera Ellen pours coffee, replaces the coffee pot and then suddenly has the pot in her hand again - you know, another camera angel - in "White Christmas."
Sometimes too they can be seriously frustrating, more of an inconsistency than a blooper, causing the viewers to be like ... HUH?! Especially if it's something that "affects" the next film in a series ...
For example, has anyone else ever wondered what happened to Margaret and Tully's son in the second Addams Family movie -- she's no longer with Tully ('cause you know, he was buried alive at the end of the first film), rather now she is with Cousin It and they have their Baby What. But what of her son from the first movie, he's just gone ... hmmmm
Or what about - and ok ok ok, I do realize that this is actually a novel inconsistency of Michael Crichton's but still - what about the fact that in Jurassic Park the T-Rex can not see you if you don't move ... but then, in The Lost World suddenly that 'fact' no longer exists. Don't get me wrong, I understand the author might have learned something new between the first and second books, but come on, that kind of thing - for continuity's sake - should not change. Otherwise, Grant, Lex and Timmy should all have been eaten in the first novel (and film).

Chicken and waffles!
I've heard about Chicken and Waffles for "years" now ... even ate in a fairly famous Chicken and Waffles joint in L.A. a number of years ago ... and now, I've finally tried them. For the first time last night, at an event called the Slider Slam, which was a part of the Albany Wine and Dine for the Arts weekend. Yum!

International New Year's Eve Traditions
Next year I want to throw a New Year's Eve Party that incorporates some International Flares...these two, which I've just learned of today, to start:
:o)
- 12 Grapes on a skewer, one per person, to eat at Midnight. I will double check, but I believe I read that it is a tradition from Spain.
- On New Years Day, don't eat anything with wings on it so that your New Year's Luck won't fly away.
:o)

Happy New Year!
Guys, it's 2015 ... !!!
Happy New Year!
2015's Jar of Happiness will be a thing as I really enjoyed doing it in 2014.
Yup, I'm going to do the "mason jar of happiness" again this year. It's simple. Take a mason jar, and any time something great happens, a cool thing I want to remember comes along, etc...write it down on a slip of paper and place it in the jar ... to be read on New Year's Eve 2015 ... :o)
Here we go!
